Day Trading experience.
For the past fifteen years I have been interested in and learning about the way that the
Stock Market works and the way that it has been structured and moulded over the years .
I have read more than ten thousand different articles from a wide variety of respected
sources on the industry.
Eight years ago I decided that I would put the knowledge I have been learning over the
past seven years to good use. I began to build and develop a very modest stocks and
shares portfolio. I have maintained it quite well through undertaking the latest
Day Trading Course and managed to increase its value.
Since the advent of the internet, I have had the opportunity to get the same information
that is available, on a real time basis, that all the worlds Stock Markets have had available
to them for years. Allowing me to analyse, in real time, the up’s and downs of the markets
in order to gain a better and fuller understanding.
I had the opportunity to visit New York recently and in preparation of my visit, I arran
ged a tour of the New York Stock Exchange, I have never had the opportunity to visit
a real live Stock Market before, so this was an experience I was going to savour.
We got to New York late the night before and went straight to our hotel and to bed. The
saying is true New York never sleeps.
Therefore I’m surprised that any one has time to take a Day Trading Course with all the hours worked each week.
We arrived on Wall Street about 10am the following morning in the obligatory yellow cab.
This has to be the busiest street I have ever seen, it was a sea of yellow cabs like you see
in the films. There are few other vehicles to be seen on the street on the street.
Standing on the pavement, looking up a the tall skyscrapers all around you is an awesome
experience, when you are used to the two up two down size of buildings in the UK.
When you are actually standing on the main floor of the New York Stock Exchange you
get to see all the people frantically shouting, waving and dashing about like madmen. You
could almost see it in their faces if they were winning or losing Now I truly understand why
they call it a bear pit calling it the lions den wouldn’t be a far cry from an accurate description
either. it turned out to be an experience I will never forget. There were times whilst I was there
where I felt I was almost compelled to pick up one of the phones and shouting buy, sell or
something like that. I must admit to being a little overwhelmed.
One of the most enjoyable experience that I have ever had and I fully intend visiting more of
the worlds stock markets over the next few years as the opportunity presents itself.
