What’s the highest hand in Poker?
Undoubtedly, a Royal flush Ten, Jack, Queen, King and Ace of hearts, is the ultimate hand you can get when you are playing any Poker game that uses at least five of the cards to decide the highest hand is. I play poker two nights per week and I have been doing this for the past twenty years. Once a week in the pub playing Texas holdem all and one night in on of the players homes playing various poker games like stud poker, draw poker, pontoon and blackjack.
I’ve never yet in all my years of playing had the ultimate hand, A Royal Flush, I’ve come near but still no cigar. I have never even been in a game that the hand has appeared.
I did get four aces in a game of five card stud poker once at a mates house. And I even won a side bet when the game was over. I stated that my last hand could not be beaten by any other hand.
This created an uproar of, A royal flush beats anything. I agreed that it did but it could not beat my four aces. This brought on a flurry of I bet you £20 that it does. From almost all eight players in the room. We all put our money on the table, I then gave myself the four aces and gave the rest of the pack to them. Beat me if you can I said. It didn’t take long for them to realise that they couldn’t make a royal flush up because I held all the aces. I took their side bets with relish as they would have done with me.
So, as I see it , I did have the highest hand in poker.
The Poker Chips are:
Poker chip origins.I don’t thing anyone person can take the credit for inventing the poker chip. I personally can only imagine that it came about through necessity.
Its hard to imagine how difficult it mus have been 200 or 300 hundred years ago when an Englishman or Russian went to Paris and called into a casino for a flutter with his English or Russian silver and gold. They had to have had a common price they could exchange their gold and silver for in to chips and could cash in their chips back into gold and silver after they had finished their evening of gaming.
I also think that in modern day casinos the poker chip serves a far more powerful tool for the casino as I bet a pound to a penny that you would be lot more careful with your bundles of notes than you are with a single chip for say £100, £500 or £1000.
